GAME SUMMARY
The Hawks battled a tough Handley team to a scoreless first quarter, but eventually Handley's duo of Kevin Curry and Malachi Imoh wore Skyline down as the Judges defeated the Hawks by a final score of 35-0. Skyline received the opening kickoff and marched down the field on a 13 play drive deep into Handley territory. Bogdan Ion had a 9 yard run, and Chase Tasker hit LT Barber and Caleb Reedy with some short passes that brought the ball to the Judges' 35 yard line.  A pass interference against Handley brought the ball all the way to the 17 yard line, but on second down, Tasker's pass was intercepted by Ashby to end the drive. Skyline was able to force Handley into a three-and-out on their first possession, thanks to a pass deflection by Ty Clingerman on third down.  The Hawks got a first down on their next possession, due to short passes to Reedy and Barber, but were forced to punt, giving Handley good field position at the Hawks 41 yard line.  On third and 8, Jacob Parker hit Curry with a 25 yard touchdown pass to put Handley up 7-0. Skyline trailed 14-0 at the half, and caught an early break in the 2nd half as Imoh fumbled deep in Judges territory and LT Barber recovered for the Hawks.  That break was squandered however, when on the 2nd play Tasker lost the ball and Curry scooped it up and ran it the distance for a touchdown to put Handley up 21-0 and the Judges never looked back. Ty Cllingerman was the leading rusher for the Hawks, who fall to 1-3.  We will host George Mason on Friday night at 7:00 for Homecoming, so come on out.
